About INS

The caring staff of INS provides seniors with the assistance, safety and dignity they deserve to live comfortably in their current living environment.

Innovative Nurses and Sitters provides personal assistance services as a Home and Community Support Service Agency. Our male and female caregivers provide services for homebound and facility-based clients 18 years and older (no pediatric care).

Our services include help with all activities of daily living (ADLs), including:

• Companionship
• Personal Care Assistance
• Homemaking Services
• Socialization
• Assistance with personal care needs
• Monitoring and Maintaining Safe surroundings
• Assistance with mobility
• Tube feeding
• Assistance with the care of family members
  suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia or Parkinson’s Disease

English / Spanish bilingual care givers available

We work closely with clients to ensure their satisfaction. We encourage clients and families to communicate their concerns and needs to us. We have both male and female caregivers for those who have a preference.

At INS we care for homebound and facility-based clients in need of assistance due to injury or illness as well as those who simply need more stimulation provided by caring human contact. We can assist in cases where a client is experiencing need due to:

Services

Assistance

When a loved one requires assistance to continue living independently or has a temporary need following a medical or emotional crisis, INS is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer help with activities of daily living and can assist with the following:

• Personal health and hygiene care
• Oversee taking of medication
• Reading, playing games and visiting with client
• Meals: preparation of light meals
• Maintain a safe, clean, hygienic environment
• Assist with transfers and ambulation
• Transportation, as needed

Safety

The safety and security of our clients is the number one priority of INS. Our staff is well trained and experienced in working with clients who are frail and have special needs. All caregivers are employees of Innovative Nurses & Sitters and we are in compliance with all employment laws. Each employee is thoroughly screened by employment history, credential history, and criminal background checks. All employees are carefully screened with criminal history checks. Caregivers are bonded and insured for your peace of mind.

According to the individual service plan that is mutually agreed upon, our staff are able to:

• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Safeguard client’s belongings when staying in care facilities away from home
• Assist with personal organization and paperwork when required
• Accompany a client shopping and to appointments

Dignity

Whatever the situation, preserving the dignity of our clients is essential. At INS we work closely with the client and their family or custodian to know and understand the unique personality and preferences of the client. While providing excellent assistance is our goal, we are diligent in our effort to respect the personal wishes of each client whenever possible.

Types of Care

Sitter / Companion Care

The services provided by Innovative Nurses & Sitters benefit the client by improving the quality of care and ensuring their safety and security in the absence of a family member. Our caregivers tend to the personal needs of people that are often overlooked in a hospital or assisted living setting. In the home, our caregivers assist with personal needs, provide light housekeeping, perform chores and run errands. Our reliable help offers companionship, prepares meals and attends to a client for 4 to 24 hours per day.

Live-in Care

When the situation is appropriate, a live-in caregiver may be the way to go. We will arrange for someone to live in the home and provide 24 hour supervision and custodial care. Rates are commensurate with the level of care required.

Client Check-in

INS will provide someone to drop in for 1 to 2 hours several times a week to check on the well-being of a client. This service is invaluable to family members who work or those that need a break from being the full-time caregiver.

Recovery Care

Our short-term care giving services will provide the privacy that you desire after a medical proceddure. It is our goal to minimize the discomfort of post- surgical symptons and maximize your comfort and well-being at the location you choose.
